Cricket Expands in Westchester – Greenburgh Was the First – Sport Is So Well-liked Westchester County Now Funds New Subject By Greenburgh City Supervisor PAUL FEINER, Esq. – Yonkers Tribune.

Westchester County Board Legislature Mary Jane Shimsky represents the 12th L.D., composed of the Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Edgemont, Hartsdale, Hastings-on-Hudson, and Irvington parishes.

One of the most important jobs of local government is to ensure that all of our residents have the recreational opportunities they need – recreation that enables our employees to live healthy and happy lives and learn skills like teamwork and grit that are useful for the community Success is also important to the playing field. With interest in cricket growing across Westchester, I'm delighted that the county has added $ 1 million to its capital budget for a new field for 2021. I would like to thank County Executive Latimer for the interest he has shown in making this project a reality and all of my colleagues on the Board of Legislators for their support. Thanks also to Supervisor Feiner for showing with the field at Richard Presser Park that cricket teams will come and play on it when you build it. First and foremost, I am grateful to the citizen advocates who have alerted officials at all levels of government to the need for cricket facilities in our community.
