Particulars emerge after a doubly deadly sawmill parkway crash in Yonkers


Westchester County Police are investigating a crash that killed two people on Saw Mill River Parkway.

County police received multiple 911 calls around 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, reporting that a vehicle had gone off the road and rolled over at the sawmill heading south near Rumsey Road in Yonkers said Kieran O & # 39; Leary, department spokesman.

One person was found in front of the car and pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other people were freed from the vehicle and taken by ambulance to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.

One of them later died as a result of the crash, O & # 39; Leary said.

The identity of the victims is withheld until the family members are notified.

The crash will continue to be investigated by members of the accident investigation / reconstruction team.
