Warning issued to lacking youngsters in Yonkers


Westchester police released a missing youth report while trying to track down a teenager who may be in danger.

Orlando Valdez, 14, was reported missing in Yonkers on Thursday, Sept. 17, prompting law enforcement officials to alert the community when they tried to find him.

Police said Valdez was last seen in the 330 Riverdale Avenue area, had evidence of suicidal behavior and may need help.

Valdez has been described as 5-foot-11, weighing about 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The last time he was seen, he was wearing black sweatpants, a red sweater, white Nike uptown trainers, and a Nike KD book bag.

Anyone with information on the current whereabouts of Valdez has been asked to call the Yonkers Police Department at 914-377-7900 or call 911 and quote the reference number 2020-125020.
